Dr. Danberg has over 30 years of experience as a behavioral optometrist. She earned her doctorate of Optometry in 1984 at State University of New York, College of Optometry. Prior to opening her own practice in 1988, she was a Vision Therapy consultant for several practices in Connecticut. She is Board Certified in Visual Therapy and is a Fellow of The College of Optometry in Vision and Development, she is also a member of the Optometric Extension Program, American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry and Connecticut Optometric Association. She served for four years on the board of the American Optometric Association, Sports Vision Section. She has been awarded Alumna of the Year from at State University of New York, College of Optometry, Comstock Award from the Connecticut Optometric Association, Connecticut Lions International Service Award. She is also a full time consultant to the Special Olympics International Opening Eyes Vision program. Dr. Danberg is an international and national lecturer on developmental optometry, visual rehab and vision care for special needs patients.
Dr. Danberg is married, she and her husband enjoy the ballet and opera and in her spare time she is a competitive ballroom dancer.
